What it Costs to Be A Realtor®:

AAA Properties requires all of our Residential Agents to become members of the Board of Realtors® and the Northwest Multiple Listing Service. Although there are tremendous potential benefits of being a real estate agent and becoming a Realtor® (member of the local, State and National Boards of Realtors®), there are also some expenses that should be understood before starting the journey.

Education:

Prelicensing Class and License Test Prep - Allied Schools, $275

Licensing:

WA State Exam Fee - $138.25
Original License Fee - $146.25

Memberships:

Seattle-King County Association of Realtors®, Washington Association of Realtors® and National Association of Realtors® - all included in one membership - $400 (prorated) for first year (including $50 one time application fee), $350 per year after.

Northwest Multiple Listing Service - NWMLS
Agent Quarterly Dues - $105 per quarter (recently reduced from $111 per quarter)

Error and Ommissions Insurance:

Approximately $150-200 per transaction

Tools:

Key for MLS - $102.94 ($52.94 per year thereafter)
Lockbox - $100.10 each
Business Cards - $50-$75 per 1000
Signs - $50 & up

Other Expenses to Consider:
